Call for K12 Negotiations Committees Members:

Negotiations are about to begin and we wanted to make one more call for people who are interested in playing a direct role.  If you would like to be on the main negotiating committee or a subcommittee, please reply to this e-mail with what you’re interested in doing.

The main negotiating team will meet this Wednesday, March 14th, from 5:30pm to about 8pm.  The first meeting with the district’s negotiating team will take place on Friday, March 23 at 8am.

Subcommittees will be formalized after Spring Break.  Up to a dozen subcommittees may be created to give specific attention to particular topic areas, such as:

Benefits

Compensation/Alternative Comp (ATPPS)

ELL/Bilingual/Special Education

Leaves

Professional Development

Reserve Teachers

Shared Leadership/Site Based Management

Student Behavior

Transfer & Reassignment

Wellness

Working Conditions/Technology

Others as needed.

This is a great opportunity to make sure the union is working for all of us.
